1920 US Census shows a "G." middle name abbreviation. Kale, Minnie G. (I25)

Balthazar is commonly seen as "Balser", which is a German shortening of the name. This was commonly misspelled as "Paulser", "Polser", "Palser", "Paulson", etc. Kale, Balthazar (I53)

It is to be noted that there was a "Georg Wilhelm Kell" that arrived in New York, NY in 1709, married to Anna Gertraud. His death is speculated from various Internet sources. It is not clear is this is the same person. Kell, Georg Wilhelm (I76)

Known as "John Christian Kale" after his immigration to the USA. Kell, Johann Christophorus (I70)

Known as "John William Kale" after his immigration to the USA. Kell, Johann Wilhelm (I61)

Matilda is the sole child listed in Elisha Kale's will, although no other record of her can be found. Kale, Matilda (I52)

Probable divorce before 1889 as Sidney remarries in April 1889. Death before 1889 is possible if 1910 death date is incorrect. Family F4

Sallie is as Elisha's wife, but no surname is mentioned. A full name of Sallie Catherine Moore has been mentioned by various Internet sources, but this is also the name of the 2nd wife of Absalom. Further research is needed. Sallie (I49)

Sally shows on the 1850 US Census as living in Alanson Kale's household with Elisha Kale - and is of the correct age to be a possible daughter. However, there is a Sally Kale listed in Ephraim Kale's (Elisha's brother) will and could be his daughter instead. Kale, Sally (I51)

Some internet sources show the possibility of a "Georg Kell" being the father of Hans Peter Kell and being born around 1619, although I am unable to find any solid documentation. Kell, Georg (I78)

Some sources online attribute the "M." middle abbreviation to be Minerva. Kale, Mary M. (I31)

The actual birth and death of Maude Kale is a bit of a mystery. There is a headstone claiming to belong to a Maude Kale White, although abbreviated to Maude K. White. The birth year does match, and she is buried in Elmwood Cemetary which would seem likely. Further research would be required to solidify the link. Kale, Maude (I24)

The actual birth and death of Minnie G. Kale is a bit of a mystery. There is a headstone belonging to a Minnie White in Charlotte. The birth year does match. Further research would be required to solidify the link. Kale, Minnie G. (I25)

The only documentation found on Anna is on the births of her children. Various Internet sources put her at around 1655-1719. Fackert, Anna Maria (I75)

The only documentation found on Hans Peter Kell is on the births of his children. Various sources on the internet put him at around 1650-1715. Kell, Hans Peter (I74)

The only documentation found on Johann Georg Kell is on the births of his children and his immigrtion record. Various sources on the internet put his birth around 1675. Kell, Johann Georg (I68)

There are several unofficial mentionings online that claim the "H." middle abbreviation stands for Harrison. Kale, Charles Harrison (I28)

There seems to be evidence of an earlier Johann Wilhelm Kell in 1687, various Internet sources put his death around 1708. Kell, Johann Wilhelm (I77)

This biography of H.A. Kale links Absalom Kale with Elisha Kale. It also verifies Absalom's second wife's name. Census records show an Emily or an Emma Moore instead of a Catherine Moore, however this could be a middle name. Marriage records link a Susan A. Moose instead of a Catherine Moore, however this could be a mangled translation of the original record. Balthazar "Balser" Kale is listed as "Polser" in this biography, a common misspelling of his name. A Francis and Mary are listed as siblings to H.A. Kale, however I am unable to find further records. It is possible these are previously unknown first or middle names. Being that there are supposedly nine children, this would mean there is definitely an undocumented child we yet to have been able to find records on. Thomas Jefferson is unlisted as a sibling, as well as Evalene. Source (S11)
